Blood Memory is a digital exploration of the African diasporic experience, specifically those who are descended from enslaved people. It is an Afrofuturistic reimagining of what it means to belong everywhere and nowhere. Through digital collage, photography, and African symbology, this series interrogates the idea that if trauma can be inherited through DNA, so might joy, spirituality, and ancestral knowing.
